Check in with Church Center app

Use the Church Center app to check in members of your household! Depending on how your church has things set up, you may be able to check in completely, or you will precheck in and scan your app when you arrive at church, which will complete the process. 

Check in household

  1. Go to the Check in page by tapping Check-In in the bottom navigation or tapping More followed by Check-In.

  2. On the Checkins page, select an event.

  3. Choose which household and members to check in by tapping each name.

  4. (Optional) Select the pencil icon next to a household member's name if you need to make changes to time/location/options. 

  5. Tap Next to complete the steps.

If you see a message that you are checked in, you're good to go!

If you get a QR code, you're prechecked in, meaning that your church requires you to scan that code at a check-in station to fully complete the check-in. Check out the next section for steps to manage your precheck!

Manage precheck

If you get a precheck QR code when checking in, you can edit your precheck and track whether other household members have checked in before scanning at a station.

Edit precheck

  1. Tap Edit precheck at the bottom of the precheck page.

  2. Select the pencil icon next to a household member's name and update time/location/options as needed.

  3. Tap Save to apply the changes.

Once you are fully checked in, your security code and barcode populate on that same page.

Track check ins for all household members

If you have household members who haven't checked in, you can keep track of everyone by following the steps below.

  1. Tap Edit precheck at the bottom of the precheck page.

  2. Switch between the Check-in and Check-out tabs to keep track of everyone between

For safety reasons, people within your household who check in at different times have separate security codes. When this occurs, an alert will appear at the top of the page. Tap a person's name to access their unique barcode.

Tip

Household adults can access all precheck details for their family members, no matter which device created them!

Troubleshooting

Can't find a specific person to check in

To check in a person, the person must be part of your household. If you're a trusted person for a child, you cannot see that child on Church Center. You must ask an administrator at your church to help you check in another way.

For events that require registration, you can only select household members who are registered for the event.

Everyone pre-checked is not checked in

Pre-checking household members does not reserve a spot for them. If you scan your QR code and the location you selected for a household member is no longer available, you must choose a different location or deselect that household member in Church Center to continue.

If the station is locked to a specific location, only people pre-checked for that location will be checked in. Ask an administrator to help locate all the stations you must visit to check in all your family members.
