Communication is core to building relationships and running effective teams. We are continually adding new entry points to chat, and are excited that you can now start new team chat conversations from the Church Center app!
How does it work?
- Tap on the chat icon in the upper right
- Then tap the New conversation button
- Choose the team you want to chat with, and optionally filter to a specific plan
- Tap the Start conversation button
- Enter your message and tap the arrow button to send it
Once you’ve started a conversation, people will get team push notifications, either in the Church Center app or the Services app, depending on how they have configured their preferred app notification settings configured.
Who can start these chats?
Anyone who leads a team or who has scheduler or higher permission levels in Services can start a conversation. Chat is designed with team leaders in mind which is why we’ve made it easy to search by “Teams I lead” to identify teams to chat with.
Why is this awesome?
We are continuing to invest in Planning Center chat, and finding ways to make it easier and more seamless to communicate in your church. If you are using the Church Center app, and on a volunteer team, starting conversations without having to switch to the Services app or use Planning Center web will save you time and effort, and we love that!
