Give with Text2Give

Text2Give is an SMS service that allows donors in the United States to make a one-time donation to their church by texting the word GIVE and a dollar amount to their church's toll-free number.

Tip

If your church hasn't enabled Text2Give, you can still give online on Church Center!

Donate using Text2Give

Text2Give donation instructions vary depending on whether you're donating for the first time or you've donated using Text2Give before.

Existing donors

1. Text the keyword GIVE and the dollar amount you'd like to donate (for example: "GIVE $5") to your church's toll-free number.

2. You'll receive a text reply with a secure web link to confirm your donation. Tap this link to go to Church Center.

3. Tap Give now to confirm your donation.

You'll receive a confirmation text and an email receipt.

First-time donors

1. Text the keyword GIVE and the dollar amount you'd like to donate (for example: "GIVE $5") to your church's toll-free number.

2. You'll receive a text reply with a secure web link to confirm your donation. Tap this link to go to Church Center.

3. Enter your information and agree to the terms on the Text2Give Setup page.

4. Tap Continue.

5. Select or add a payment method.

6. Tap Continue.

7. Tap Give now to confirm your donation.

You'll receive a confirmation text and an email receipt.

Donate to specific funds

By default, Text2Give donations go to your church's default fund. To designate your donation to a specific fund, add the fund name after the donation amount in your text. (For example: "GIVE $5 missions")

You can also split your donation between funds in a single text by listing the amounts and fund names. (For example: "GIVE $5 missions $6 building")

Text2Give keywords

The list below shows the keywords you can send to your church's toll-free number.

• GIVE: Text the keyword GIVE followed by the donation dollar amount to donate (for example: "GIVE $5").

• STOP: Texting the keyword STOP immediately blocks all Text2Give messages, preventing you from donating via text. You'll receive a final confirmation message confirming your opt-out.

• START: Text the keyword START to lift any carrier blocks and start using Text2Give again.

• SUPPORT: Text the keyword SUPPORT to receive a link to a help page in Church Center with tips on using Text2Give.

Manage your payment method for Text2Give

You can change your payment method or add a new one from your donor profile on the web.

1. Using Church Center in a web browser, select your photo or initials in the top right corner of the home page.

2. Scroll down to the Activity & Involvement section.

3. Select My giving.

4. Select Text2Give.

5. Choose a saved payment method to update or add a new one.
